Team building
in the metaverse

Strengthen teams anywhere

With all the economic and social change today, organizations must work harder to maintain a strong team culture. When you add in flexible work arrangements, multi-location teams, hybrid teams, and remote workers, tapping the metaverse to help build team culture becomes an easy yes.

Classes & training

When hosting team trainings or webinars, consider inviting the team and speakers to a space in the metaverse, where they can chat beforehand in small groups and explore concepts or ideas after the course. For longer courses, set up a special space or room for the students, where they can meet between sessions, work on team projects, or just trade ideas. Sometimes those side conversations are as valuable as the training itself.

Offsites

Supplement your in-person offsites with online offsite experiences. You can meet more often, boosting team engagement and brainstorming. Set the mood by meeting at a state fair, a mansion, an island, on a yacht, a space station, a mountain resort, upscale hotel, a garden—anywhere you can imagine. Then incorporate voting, speed networking, custom bingo and scavenger hunts, escape rooms, soccer tournaments and more.

No time to plan? Consider our offsite in a box, where we provide a proven structure, environment, and customizable activities. Select from our list, or provide your own!

Onboarding

Onboarding new employees is one of the biggest leadership headaches—and doing it remotely can be a full migraine. Instead of a list of videos to watch and documentation to read, consider building in a more immersive experience, where coworkers can drop in to give their impressions and tips for success.

Imagine the process as a building, where new rooms and activities open as new hires complete each section—whether you use an LMS or other system. If you have a cohort of new hires, they will enjoy seeing others in the process. If you have a solo new hire, you can alert teammates to join them at various stages, enhancing the experience with teambuilding activities and problem solving.

Fun & culture

Whether your team is remote, hybrid, or in office, you can provide them with fun ways to take breaks. Metaverse Go-Karts, soccer fields, custom bingo, trivia, scavenger hunts, escape rooms, hidden treasure, speed networking and more can give your team the opportunity to build relationships that are often neglected when not physically near each other. You can set a permanent space or rent-as-you-go.

If games aren’t your team’s favorite, build culture with creative brainstorming sessions, microlearning, workshops, and debates.
